Brining:

Nothing adds moisture and flavor to lean meats like brining.  Brining is a simple solution to the common problem of dry, flavorless meats.  The brining process actually unwinds the proteins in lean meats like chicken, turkey, and pork, allowing moisture and flavor to become trapped inside.

How to Brine:

Brine is a salt and sugar solution that enhances flavor and helps preserve moisture in lean meats.  Fire & Flavor's Turkey Perfect® all-natural, gluten-free, Kosher brines are a simple solution for creating  juicy, flavorful turkey.

First, combine water and brine mix and heat on a stove, but do not boil.  If using Fire & Flavor's Turkey Perfect® Apple Sage brine mix, you can subsitute apple cider or juice for the water.  Place turkey into a brining bag or large container, add ice water, and pour brine solution directly over the meat.  Place in refrigerator or ice chest and brine turkey for 1 hour per pound. Remove turkey from brine, gather leftover spices and herbs from brine solution and pat onto meat for added flavor. Roast, grill, or fry turkey as desired. For a "quick brine" solution, try Fire & Flavor's 30 Minute Brines, which brine meat in only 30 minutes.  Perfect for pork and poultry, 30 Minute Brines ensure tender, flavorful and juicy pork or chicken every time.
