Impress Your Valentine with Our "Fast and Fancy" Menu

Fighting the crowds and overpaying for a prix-fixe dinner at a restaurant is not our idea of an enjoyable Valentine’s Day -- but pouring some wine, building a nice fire in the fireplace, and cooking our fast and fancy menu is!

We happen to be particularly in love with Bon Appetite’s Winter Crunch Salad. You can prep ahead of time, and it pairs nicely with almost any protein. Our favorite part of this dish is that the leftovers make the BEST lunch you could ever hope for on February 15th.

While traditional steak dinners are always tasty, consider choosing a dish that will present itself with beautiful colors and a delicious smoky flavor. Fire & Flavor’s Planked Salmon with Pomegranate Avocado Salsa is one of our favorites. Plus, pomegranates and avocados are currently in season!

Who can resist a colorful dish like this? Serve it over a bed of quinoa, and dinner is complete.  The Kitchn’s step-by-step guide to cooking Quinoa breaks it down and answers any questions you could ever dream of having. It is a go-to side for us almost daily.

Of course, chocolate is a must for this special day, but do not feel like you have to make everything from scratch. There’s never anything wrong with pairing a homemade meal with really good quality chocolates. Athens-based Condor Chocolates is our absolute favorite and don’t even get us started on their Salted Caramel Brownie.
