Coffee Rubbed Cheeseburgers with Smoked Cheddar

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients:
2 1/4 pounds ground chuck or sirloin
2 tablespoons Fire & Flavor Coffee Rub
1 teaspoon salt
6 Hamburger buns
5 ounces smoked cheddar, sliced
Lettuce and tomato for garnish
Additional toppings (optional): mustard, ketchup, sautéed onions and mushrooms

FIRST  Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine ground chuck, salt, and rub in a large bowl. Form 6 patties, about 1 inch thick, making a small indention in top center of each burger to yield perfectly shaped burgers. Allow burgers to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to take the chill off.

NEXT  Cook burgers for about 4 minutes per side, flipping once, for medium-rare or longer for well-done burgers. Remove from grill, top with cheese if desired, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

LAST  Serve with toasted buns, sautéed onions, lettuce, and tomato.
