Skewers Make Great Camping Food Easy

Glamping Whiskey Glazed Steak & Shrimp Skewers
2 filet cut steaks (1 inch thick is great)
½ pound large shrimp, shelled and cleaned
Wood skewers, 6-inch size
FIRST Before you head out to your adventure, soak skewers for about 30 minutes. Slide 3-4 shrimp on each skewer. Generously apply Fire & Flavor Salmon Rub and store in portable container. Put in the cooler with steaks.
NEXT When you get to your location, set up your HERO Grill and light by holding the lighter to the 4 corners of the Charcoal Pod. The charcoal will sparkle or turn darker as it ignites and the fire spreads across the pod. It will be ready in 10 minutes. While it’s starting, sprinkle the steaks with Fire & Flavor Steak Rub.
LAST When HERO is at 400°+F, place steak on grill. About 5 minutes before steak is done, put shrimp skewers on grill for about 3 minutes per side. When both are cooked, splash whiskey over for a quick finishing glaze. Remove from grill and allow to rest a few minutes.
This steak and shrimp combo is great when plated with your favorite salad and perhaps a sip of the whiskey!
