Planked Green Beans with Blue Cheese

We know planking green beans sounds crazy, but we promise these will become your new favorite vegetable!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh, whole green beans, trimmed
2 teaspoons olive oil
½ cup pecan halves
½ cup blue cheese, crumbled
2 Fire & Flavor Alder or Cedar Planks, soaked

FIRST Preheat grill to medium-low, about 350°F. Cook green beans in a large pot of simmering water seasoned with salt until crisp, about 4 minutes. Remove beans from hot water and immediately plunge into ice cold water, drain well and pat dry.

NEXT Toss beans with olive oil and pecans and season with kosher salt and pepper. Place planks on grill, close lid, and heat for 3 minutes. Flip planks and spread beans on planks, sprinkle with pecans, and cook for 10-12 minutes or until beans are tender and edges begin to brown.

LAST Remove beans and planks from grill and toss beans with cheese and serve.
